The Oscars Won’t Move To January
Phew!
That means more time to view all the nominated films.
Despite reports that the Oscars were planning to move their telecast from February to January, it's been confirmed that the 2011 awards show will stay in late February, and will most likely keep that date for at least the next couple of years.
So what was the big deal?
According to sources, Oscar producers felt they were being upstaged by several other awards show, including the Golden Globes and the SAG awards, which air in January.
However, the show decided to keep its show in February so as to not have any conflict with the Super Bowl, which would piss off many NFL fans.
The only other options was to move the show in March or air it on a Monday, which would hurt ratings.
In a statement by the Academy, they said:
"The Academy's Board of Governors has determined that the date of the 84th Academy Awards in 2012 will not be significantly earlier than the now-traditional last Sunday in February. A different date still remains a possibility in subsequent years, and the Academy's staff and Board will continue to evaluate the advantages and challenges associated with such a change."
The Academy Awards will air on February 27. Will U be watching??

Minnie Driver Confronts Childhood Bully
See?! It gets sooo much better that in time, you might find yourself telling off the person who once made you feel so bad about yourself in school! All in due time!
Minnie Driver is a stunning woman and an incredible actress, but even she at one point of her life was pushed around by someone. The actress was on Ellen DeGeneres' show yesterday and she shared her own story of overcoming bullying as a pre-teen. She explained:
"I remember this new girl arrived when I was like nine years old, and I was completely happy at my school, very confident, and, for whatever reason, she decided that she needed to take me down, and for the next five years, just every single day repeatedly, it was just abusive and frightening. It wasn't until I finally realized that I could fight back and I literally smacked her, it never happened again."
Well, we can't say we condone the violence part, but courage to stand up for yourself is still commendable
She then told Ellen that years later, she was able to confront the girl who tormeneted her in her youth at a party and what she learned from her was rather surprising. She reveals:
"She was there with her husband and her kids and I got the same kind of chilled fear in my stomach when I saw her… and after a couple of drinks I went over to her and I was like, 'Can I just ask you, you remember everything that went on, right…? The systematic and repeated bullying that you inflicted on me.' Her face went white and she looked like she was going to throw up or burst into tears, and I said, 'Why did you do it?' She said, 'It was my identity… I was frightened of who you were - creative and loud and sort of gregarious - and my identity became stopping that and shutting that down in you because it was shut down in me.' That minute, I realized that she was, in a way, as damaged by what she'd done as I had felt damaged myself. It was an interesting and good moment, but I don't think everybody has that opportunity to face their aggressor later on."
No, they surely don't. We think if they did, they would encounter the same kind of thing you did - an adult who regrets their childhood immaturities and decisions.
We should always try and see the good in people, no matter who they are. You never know who they might turn out to be!

Bethenny Vs Her Momma!
In a recent interview, Bravo reality star Bethenny Frankel gave in-depth insight into her "wild" past. Now, her mother is refuting it all!
While Bethenny painted a picture of a destructive childhood, filled with "alcohol abuse, eating disorders and violent fights" and a mother who was never around, Bernadette Birk tells sources that her daughter is lying and that she in no way came from a "broken home."
Truth is, fans of the Real Housewives of New York don't really know too much about her past as she rarely talks about it. Most of her career, she has embraced her friends and her new hubby's parents as her fam. But Bernadette wants to clear up a few of the facts that Bethenny supposedly altered in her interview, starting with the role of Bethenny's father in their lives. Bernadette reveals:
"She did not come from a broken home and her father did not leave her at 4 years old. I left her father when she was 2 years old and he did not support us with one penny, no alimony…She went to visit her father for the first time at 15 years old. It was the same time she is now claiming she started drinking and doing drugs. I was never aware she was doing this. Even though she is bad mouthing her father she was always after his affection."
Every little girl wants to be loved by their daddy! We can't fault her for that! But as for the other stuff, we'd think you've have to be pretty oblivious not to see drastic weight loss on your child or realize when they are as high as a kite! So, one of you is clearly lying - we're just not so sure which of you it is yet.
But seeing as Bethenny has more to lose, we're going with momma. After she told the story of the last time she spoke to her daughter, we have a feeling that money and possessions mean a bit more to her than her child. Bernadette explains:
"The last time I spoke to her was 10 years ago when she borrowed my car and then demolished it and she left it in her boyfriend's lot and it got stripped. I called her to tell her and she started yelling at me and hung up… and we have never spoken since."
A rough patch, we're sure! Look at the life she has built for herself! That kind of ambition can't be ignored.
Plus, it's hard to believe a daughter wouldn't want a relationship with her mother…or that mother would hold off on rekindling a relationship until there is something in it for her.
Shame!

Lisa Rinna is busy promoting her new book, Starlit, and while doing so has been able to show off her brand new lips - which she reportedly had reduced in August!
She explains:
"I did it because I no longer wanted my lip to define me. I had never thought that you could do anything about it, and I found out there is something you can do. I had no idea you could reduce it, so I was like, 'Yes! Let’s do it.'"
She's frequently spoken out in the past about how unhappy she was with the way her lips looked, so we're glad that she finally had the opportunity to do something about it!

According to Star magazine, Colin Farrell has split from his baby-mama Alicja Bachleda-Curus.

Nobody has been able to get an interview with Michael Jackson's mother, Katherine Jackson, since his death last year, except for one paid interview she did for a documentary.
Looks like Oprah has been able to quietly break through that barrier!
According to a source inside the Jackson home, Oprah's production team was at the house on Saturday to tape an interview between Oprah and Katherine Jackson.

Madonna Misses London!
Madonna may be a New York gal again, but the singer's heart is in London and desperately wants to move back with her children.
The problem is now that she's divorced from Guy Ritchie, she is no longer a British citizen by marriage and will have to apply for a visa "like everyone else."
A source says:
"Madonna has loved being back in the States since the divorce, but England is where she feels her heart is now. She is deliberately focusing on work that will keep her in Britain. She has had meetings with her London legal team, Mishcon de Reya, to arrange a visa that will enable her to move back for good…The other children will automatically gain visas as Madonna’s dependants as long as she can get past the paperwork.
The past couple of years have been the breath of fresh air Madonna needed after her divorce, but she is now ready to embrace the British lifestyle again."
Guy is reportedly "thrilled" at the idea that the children will be closer to him again as he "misses the kids desperately and can’t wait to spend more time with them."
And even though she gave the former couple's country estate, Ashcombe House to Guy in the divorce settlement, she still has owns a 10-bedroom home in Marylebone, West London.

It was a revelation!
Prior to this weekend's show, we appreciated her big voice but we also through it was a bit shrill. However, last night she gave a nuanced and command performance of James Brown's classic This Is A Man's World.
Her voice was on-point and everything just gelled!
We find it hard to believe that just a few weeks ago she was working as a cashier at Tesco. She truly came across as a seasoned entertainer this weekend! Not only did she sing the song, but she also interpreted it. She SOLD it!
Mary came across as cool, calm, collected, confident and SEXY! Yes, sexy!
She's like SuBo but with more personality and stage presence!
This was our favorite performance of the evening - by far!

Last night, sources spotted Jersey Shore's DJ Pauly D responding to a late night booty call from Bad Girls Club star Sarah Michaels! Witnesses saw Pauly D chilling outside The London around 11pm, when a car pulled up and Sarah came out. Margaret Cho Shares Her Struggle With Bullying!
See! It happens to everyone! You are so not alone!
Margaret Cho and Louis Van Amstel, who are kicking ass and taking names on Dancing With The Stars, explained their background with bullying and how they was very "scared" and "insecure" growing up after the show last night.
For Margaret, the recent string of suicides of gay youth because of bullying brought back memories from when she was a teenager. She admits was bullied "a lot", to the point that she also felt like she "didn't want to live." But she pulled through and she wants others to know they will too. That's why she and Louis decided to dedicate their samba to the families and children lost to bullying. She explained:
"It's about having pride in who you are and that's why we wore the rainbow colors, because we want to talk about pride. We want to just really, really express that in ourselves and impart that to the world."
For Louis, he explained he was teased from the very young age of 10 because of his love of dance, but it was because of his talent that he found strength to persevere. He explains:
"I've been bullied for being gay when [I was] 10 years old because I loved dance. You just have to find out what you're really good at. Put your mind, body and soul into that. For me, it was dance, and it was great therapy."
Agreed! Everyone is good at something and everyone is important and special!
Just keep telling yourself that and remember that it does get better!

Glee Stars Speak Out About Recent Gay Suicides
It's an issue that thankfully has come to attention of a lot of people in positions to help and bring exposure to the problems. We're so pleased to hear that the recent rise in gay teen suicides, as tragic as they are, aren't being overlooked by anyone.
Over the weekend, the cast of the hit show Glee hosted a benefit for the Rape Treatment Center at Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center. Matthew Morrison and Cory Monteith were asked their views on the recent suicides and what plans are in place for Glee to respond. On the latter, Matthew explained:
"I'm sure that's something that [Ryan Murphy] wants to talk about…It's shedding a light on a subject that a lot of people keep in the closet."
Cory concured, insisting that the cast felt it was their duty to acknowledge what is happening in the lives of other young people, particularly those who are struggling with who they are. Cory says:
"It's really important for a show like 'Glee,' with all the exposure that it's getting, to start to bring important causes like this out in the open."
That's what we like to hear! It is so important for gay teens to know that they aren't alone. People truly do care!
