British Church Suspends Bishop For Calling Royal Family "Philanderers"
The royal family is not messing around!
The Church of England has suspended one of it's own after a bishop made "deeply offensive" comments in regards to the upcoming marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton
Rt Rev Pete Broadbent reportedly posted on his Facebook that he thought their marriage would only seven years at best and then called the the Royal Family "philanderers" in general.
BIG mistake!
No sooner did he press "send" did the church become aware of his slander and quickly swooped in to deal with the situation. The Bishop of London told the press that Bishop Broadbent was promptly asked to withdraw from public ministry until further notice. He has complied.
He then released a statement apologizing for his remarks, conveying his "sincere regrets" to the Prince of Wales and to Prince William and Miss Middleton for the "distress" caused by comments.

The Autobiography of Mark Twain is an unexpected success! The four-pound, 500,000 word tome has landed on several best-seller lists and gone back to press six times.
Editors at the University of California Press expected very little interest and only printed 7,500 copies to start, but now the total print run is up to 275,000.
Bookstores and retailers can't get the book fast enough!
Kris Kleindienst, owner of Left Bank Books in St. Louis, said:
“It sold right out. You would think only completists and scholars would want a book like this. But there’s an enduring love affair with Mark Twain, especially around here. Anybody within a stone’s throw of the Mississippi River has a Twain attachment."
Booksellers believe it's a perfect holiday gift and are desperate to get them in stock for the holiday season.

Kathy Griffin’s D List May Not Return!
Although it's garnered so much critical acclaim, Kathy Griffin revealed that her reality series My Life on the D List may not return for its seventh season.
The comedian said:
“I don’t think it will come back, especially not as the same show it was. I would love to do a hybrid show, like a half-scripted kind of thing or something based on what I built on My Life on the D List and what I experience, but not a full-on reality show. I need to maybe give my mom a break so she doesn’t have to drink quite as much boxed wine. I could have someone play my mom because she’s a legend at this point.
I do feel like it is a natural progression to take all the wacky things that happen to me. But [some things] can’t be on a reality show because of legal issues and clearances. I think it could be even funnier because it is still real [if there was] nothing that was off limits.”
We totally get it! Although Kathy is still keeping busy despite the fate of her show.
She added:
“I am still doing my stand-up. I have some dates in L.A. coming up. I also recently hosted one of those VH1 diva specials. I did the one for the troops.”
Awww. We'll sure miss her if she goes!

Demi Lovato Is Staying In Rehab For Thanksgiving
This must be difficult, but we're sure it's for the best.
Although there were reports circulating that she planned to go home for Thanksgiving, her representative has come forward to assert that Demi Lovato has no plans to leave rehab early.
They explain:
"Recent reports stating that Demi Lovato will be out of treatment by Thanksgiving are false. While she would of course love to be home for the holidays, she remains committed first and foremost to her treatment. Demi has made tremendous progress to date, but understands that she has more work to do. Unfortunately, the news outlet that reported this story originally failed to call us for comment or to fact check the story before it was printed."
The rep also revealed that fortunately, Demi's family will be with her at her treatment facility for turkey day!
Poor thing. We know that this must be such a difficult process to go through - especially at such a young age. Luckily, she has her family's united support behind her, so that will hopefully make this ordeal easier!

Robert Zemeckis To Direct Wizard Of Oz Remake Using The Original’s Screenplay!
What on Earth? Didn't the remake of Pyscho teach people anything??
Warner Brothers has reportedly approached director Robert Zemeckis to helm a live-action remake of The Wizard of Oz, using the ORIGINAL script from the 1939 version!
Although that film was produced by MGM, Warner Brothers acquired the rights to the screenplay after Ted Turner bought it. Warner Brothers than bought Turner's empire, which gave them the rights to the work!
Wow. We're happy to see Robert Zemeckis moving away from all of that creepy performance capture stuff, but this could be disastrous!
A lot of care must be taken if this actually goes into production!
Let's hope it ends up a nice tribute to the original, and not an embarrassing, unnecessary mess.

More Books To Come! Chelsea Handler Given Publishing Imprint!
After writing three bestselling books, Chelsea Handler has been given her own publishing imprint at Grand Central Publishing. It will be called Borderline Amazing/A Chelsea Handler Book.
The first tome to kick off the imprint will be Lies that Chelsea Handler Told Me, which will be published May 2011. It is the first of Chelsea's three book deal. The second will be written by her dog, Chunk, who will obviously have a co-writer. Ha!
Handler's partner in Borderline Amazing Productions, Tom Brunelle, will oversee the publishing venture.
Chelsea said:
"I've written three books now, and while they throw money at you after awhile, I completed the Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang book tour, went out every weekend and signed all those books, and I don't know if I can do it again. I'm 35 years old, I'm tired. This is a different approach, getting all my friends and family involved, telling them how I've screwed them over. I'll be editing and overseeing, while my family and friends make money off me and get something back from the torture I've put them through. I've got a couple other ideas and people I want to see write books.
Chunk has it tough. All he wants is to be with me, but I leave him with all the misfits in my life while I go on the road. This will be an easy book for him to write."

J.K. Rowling has promised Daniel Radcliffe that the Boy Who Lived will not live again. That is to say, there will be no more stories about Harry Potter in J.K.'S repertoire. She's over it and is moving on.
During the premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part One last night, DanRad confessed to sources that the author who gave him a career also promised him she wouldn't be writing anymore books based on Harry Potter, thus keeping him from having to star in anymore movies. Dan explained she sent him a text message following the film's London premiere last week. He explained:
"Basically, it amounted to the fact that she felt I had been very good in this 'Harry Potter' film, and as a reward for that, she wasn't going to [write] any more 'Harry Potter' [books]. I'm sure she will be writing other books, but I can pretty much guarantee that Harry will not be a feature."
We always say never say never. And besides, who says you have to play Harry Potter should she write another book that instantaneously becomes another movie? We're sure there are a lot of other young actors who would be thrilled to make millions upon millions of dollars for one movie. No worries about that!
Still, maybe instead of a Harry Potter story, she could write about some of the other characters from the franchise and leave Harry out of it. Like how about his parents or Dumbledore? Those sound like viable options to us.
